Otome Game Review: Beastmaster & Prince

Intro: When Tiana trades her mother’s brooch to save a cage of wild animals at the market, she discovers they’re not really animals. They’re actually the princes of Fasan who went missing when their ship caught on fire! Cursed into bestial forms and not knowing who tried to assassinate them, they turn to Tiana for help. There’s just a few small problems: war is about to engulf her homeland once more, and now she’s in grave danger.

Spoiler-free Final Thoughts down below.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Extra Side Story

Warning! The Ex Side Story depicts a tale following the ending of the main campaign of Beastmaster and Prince. As such, it is recommended that you play this after completing the main campaign.

*The only choice you will make is who you will check on, so there is no guide. I have divided this post into pages based on the order of characters in the selection menu from the common route.

Do NOT use my translations to earn a profit, whether it be through streaming or any other venue. That is illegal. I don’t make money off of these translations. Beastmaster already has a proper localization through Solmare. Please use their localization if you plan to stream. I translated this to practice the language and even included notes and comparisons. Please don’t jeopardize future fan-translation projects for the both of us.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Sylvio

Sylvio works at the apothecary next door to Klaus and seems to know Tiana from somewhere.

Here’s the guide I’m using. Sylvio is in black.

If you want to play in a different order than mine, you’ll need to keep the first four chapter translations open alongside the character route you want as I have used Matheus as a template for the common route.

Sylvio’s route can’t be played until you finish Lucia’s. You also must not pet the princes during his route.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Erik

Erik is the fourth prince of Fasan who was turned into a rabbit by Gerda’s curse. He’s ridiculously gifted in the arts despite his youthful appearance. Erik carries a stuffed frog named Caspar everywhere he goes and is often picked on by his older brother, Lucia. Due to spoilers, I’d recommend saving his route for last or second to last. Just as how I’ve formatted Klaus’ route, we’re skipping the already-read lines.

Here’s the guide I’m using. Erik is in green.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Alfred

Alfred is the second prince of Fasan who was turned into a wolf by Gerda’s curse. While he excels in combat and forming strategies, he can’t seem to figure out how to deal with women. As you can imagine, this greatly amuses all of his other brothers. So much so that all of them constantly tease him and Tiana, which just makes his route that much cuter. Just as how I’ve formatted Klaus’ route, we’re skipping all the already-read lines.

Here’s the guide I’m using. Alfred is in blue.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Lucia

Next up is our token tsundere! Lucia is the third prince of Fasan who was turned into a duck by Gerda’s curse. He can be a bit of a brat sometimes but he means well. Surprisingly, Lucia has a pretty deep connection to Tiana and I think the writers outdid themselves with his route in particular. Just as how I’ve formatted Klaus’ route, we’re skipping all the already-read lines and starting a new save file.

Here’s your guide. Lucia is in orange.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Klaus

Klaus is Tiana’s childhood friend. He lost his parents in the war that took place in Cattleya 20 years ago, and was taken in by Lotte’s family. Though he and Lotte aren’t blood-related, they see each other as siblings and both of them love Tiana. He works as a Librarian Assistant in Rosette Castle and looks after Tiana at the behest of her parents when they go traveling. Unfortunately for him, Tiana’s almost always up to no good and it’s really stressing him out.

Here’s the guide I’m using. Klaus is in purple. Make sure that ALL of the Mofumofu games for the princes are cleared with a blue screen. This prevents any affection levels from rising with the princes.

✧ Beastmaster & Prince ✧ Matheus

Thank you all so much for your patience! I know it was a long wait but I’d rather not give up on this project because I got burned out like I almost did with the previous 4 chapters. I also had other games I wanted to play as well as other obligations.

Matheus’ route is comprised of several chapters which have been compiled into one post that is split into several pages.
